OSWEGO, N.Y. — Terry Strong Photo — The latest episode of Steering Wheel Nation’s Inside Groove Supermodified Podcast is now up, and features a tribute to longtime supermodified car owner and Oswego Speedway enthusiast Terry Strong, who passed away last week after a brave fight with cancer.

Joey Payne, a top racer in the division who drove the Strong No.99 for several seasons and remains very close to the Strong family, joined host Tom Baker to remember and celebrate Terry’s life and her passion and endearing personality.

“Terry touched countless lives during her time with us,” Baker said. “I will never forget her enthusiasm for the sport, the passion with which she carried herself and the way she made everyone around her into family. Her, Pat and the Strong Racing team exemplified the heart that makes supermodified racing special.  She fought so bravely, and her spirit will live on in all of our hearts forever.”

This episode also features a throwback to week two of the 1972 season, and discussion of the part the No. 95 (episode number) has played in supermodified history.

The show is sponsored by Indy Performance Composites, Skip’s Fish Fry and J&S Paving, and is available at SteeringWheelNation.com.
