TOM BAKER Headshot

Back in the early 1960’s a new short track racing division began to emerge called a Supermodified, or a “cutdown” back in those days.  The Oswego Speedway in Oswego, NY became a weekly Supermodified track in that era and is now the “fast 5/8 of a mile” is the only track racing the most exotic short-track car on the planet on a weekly basis.  Tom Baker started going to “The Big O” in 1973, and today he hosts Inside Groove, a podcast that focuses on both the history of the division and the current day news and results from Oswego and the various touring series that take the division to New England, Canada, Pennsylvania and the Midwest. Hear from drivers past and present as well as other personalities that make this division one of the most popular in the nation despite its niche’ presence in today’s racescape.
