Brandon developed a passion for motor sports at a young age.

When he was only 10-years-old Brandon was picking cotton with his father at a farm close to Atoka Raceway Park, which is a local go-kart track. His father took him to watch the races that day and by the end of the following week, Brandon had his very first go-kart.

Brandon raced go-karts from 2006-09, earning two championships, capturing several national events and winning races in Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.

In 2010, Hanks Motorsports made the decision to participate in a more advanced level of racing. Brandon began a challenging racing season in the 600cc micro sprint ranks. As a rookie and also only running a partial schedule, he achieved numerous top fives and top 10s while finishing eighth in the championship standings at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.

Brandon’s first micro sprint win came the following season before 2012 marked another milestone in Brandon’s racing career as he moved into full sized sprint cars.

Brandon grew throughout the season, earning numerous Hard Charger Awards en route to several top fives and top 10s. He also was able to participate in a test session with the ARCA Series at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he ranked third quickest.
